If you’re looking for a fun and engaging way to introduce sewing tools and equipment, this Sewing Tools Match-Up Activity is the perfect addition to your classroom. This hands-on resource goes beyond simple memorisation — it helps students actually understand what each tool is, what it looks like, and how it’s used in a real sewing context.

I created this resource to build confidence at the start of a Textiles Technology, Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS), or beginner sewing unit, while keeping students actively engaged and involved in their learning. It’s the perfect mix of practical, visual, and interactive learning.
